Studio Visit to Papier Mâché studio of Bharati Pitre Madam @ Pune
We were fortunate enough to visit Renowned Sculptor Artsist Bharati Pitre at her Papier Mâché studio during our outdoor visit session on 9th Feb 2023.
A trained commercial artist, Bharati specialised in illustration from the reputed Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai and taught the subject at her alma mater for a few years.
A decade ago, she took the plunge into establishing her very own Papier Mâché studio, and happily returned to her childhood enjoyment of working with hands. Bharati's creations can be viewed at her studio, or the various exhibitions that they are displayed at. She lives in and works from Pune.
K.K. Wagh College of Fine Arts presents an exhibition "Naya Prahar"
India is a land of many cultures, it is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, dating back more than 4,000 years. During this time, many customs and traditions have come together, reflecting the country's rich culture and heritage.
From having a rich cultural heritage to being the originator of some of the delicious delicacies, the nation knows no bounds. It is fair to say that the people of this country take pride in their cultural selves and are constantly taking forward their legacies.
The popular Hindi aphorism ‘Kos-Kos Par Badle Paani, Chaar Kos Par Baani’ defines India’s linguistic diversity. In a pluri-ethnic land like India, a shared language is a unifier and a critical part of our culture. One can explore magnificent heritage monuments while traveling from one State to another. People are proudly embracing their Culture, Art, Heritage, Monuments, Traditional cuisine, Dialect, and Attire.
As the part of ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, K.K. Wagh College of Fine Arts presents an exhibition "Naya Prahar" a unique and one of its kind exhibition by Painting & Sculpture Department Students. Young talent artist presenting their extraordinary creations and skills in this exhibition is exemplary.
